This Acceptable Use Policy explains what ReceiptCraft.com ("we," "us," or "our") is for, and what it must not be used for. It supplements our Terms of Service. By using ReceiptCraft, you agree to the boundaries described here.

Our goal is simple: ReceiptCraft is a design and record-keeping tool for creating sample, preview, and replacement receipts. It is not a tool for deceiving anyone.

What ReceiptCraft is for

ReceiptCraft is built for legitimate, lawful purposes, including:

  • Replacing a lost, damaged, or faded receipt for your own records
  • Personal and business record-keeping and expense organization
  • Design mockups and presentations — prototyping point-of-sale layouts and receipt designs
  • Software and hardware testing — generating sample receipts to test POS systems, parsers, and printers
  • Education and training — teaching bookkeeping, retail operations, or document literacy

  • Generated receipts are samples. They are not, and should not be presented as, valid proof of a purchase, payment, or transaction that did not actually take place.

What ReceiptCraft must not be used for

You are strictly prohibited from using ReceiptCraft to:

  • Create false or fraudulent receipts for refunds, chargebacks, returns, or exchanges
  • Fabricate records for tax evasion, reimbursement fraud, or accounting manipulation
  • Misrepresent a transaction to any individual, business, insurer, or government entity
  • Forge documentation for insurance claims, expense reports, or warranty fraud
  • Prove authenticity or ownership of goods — for example, to pass off counterfeit or resale items
  • Impersonate a business or deceive employers, financial institutions, or tax authorities
  • Engage in any illegal, fraudulent, abusive, or deceptive activity

  • If your intended use is to make someone believe a transaction happened that did not, ReceiptCraft is not the tool for you, and that use is prohibited.

    Trademarks and brand names

Some templates carry brand names and logos for identification purposes only. These names and logos are the trademarks of their respective owners. ReceiptCraft is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by any of the brands referenced in its templates.

You must not upload or use logos, trademarks, or other intellectual property that you do not own or have permission to use, and you must not use a brand-styled template to imply an affiliation or endorsement that does not exist.

    Enforcement

We may, at our discretion, restrict or terminate access for anyone who violates this policy, and we cooperate with lawful requests from authorities investigating fraud. Violations may also breach our Terms of Service.

Responsibility for how a generated receipt is used rests entirely with the person who creates and uses it.
