About the Best Buy Receipt Template
A Best Buy receipt is the printed record of an electronics purchase — the items with their SKUs and per-item tax, the subtotal and tax, the total, the card authorization, and the return-policy lines a big-box retailer prints at the foot. This template reproduces that layout section by section, and you fill it in with your own store, items, and totals. It is handy for keeping a warranty or expense record, reproducing a slip that has faded, building a mockup for a retailer's point-of-sale screen, or generating sample data for testing. Every value shown below is an editable example, not a real transaction.
Store header
The receipt opens with the store logo over its address — for example 12431 HENRY RD, DEARBORN, MI 48143 — followed by a CODE128 barcode, a long validation code (Val: 100000-92492-21354-574579-53456), and a register-and-date stamp such as 0410 018 4131 07/11/26 12:43. Each field is yours to set.
Item lines
Items print in a quantity, item, and price layout, each keyed to a SKU with a product-name and per-item tax line beneath. The sample lists a 9VA-00001 SKU at 39.99 described as PRO SLIDER FOR GPHONE % -WH with ITEM TAX 2.80, and a WK399SKID SKU at 159.99 described as 75-KEY WIRELESS KEYBOARD with ITEM TAX 11.20. Add as many items as the sale needs.
Totals
The totals block stacks the subtotal and the sales-tax amount, then the total — SUBTOTAL 199.98, SALES TAX AMOUNT 14.00, TOTAL 213.98. Adjust the figures and tax to match the sale you are documenting.
Payment block
An associate line and a card-authorization block record how it was paid — Associate # 989208, then a masked card number and amount (************4922 USD$ 213.98), the account type (US Common Debit - DEBIT), an approval number, and the entry details (CARD ENTRY: Contactless, AID, Reference Number). Switch it to cash and this block simply drops away.
Return policy and footer
The foot of the receipt carries the return and privacy lines a big-box retailer prints — a 15-day window on most purchases, a shorter window on activatable devices, and links to the returns and privacy pages — closing on a CUSTOMER COPY line. Any of these can be edited or removed.
